✨ Meet June McIntosh
June McIntosh grew up in the vibrant neighbourhood of North Melbourne, Victoria, and her love for stories began early. After graduating from Melbourne University, June dedicated her life to nurturing young minds as a Primary School teacher.
Over her rich teaching career, she taught from Prep to Grade 6, across subjects like Art, Performing Arts, Physical Education, and even worked as a Science/Health Consultant with the Education Department in Melbourne’s Western region.
A Lifelong Love for Books
June’s classrooms were always filled with laughter, learning, and literature. Her passion for junior fiction grew with every story she read to her students—stories that sparked imagination and curiosity. That passion soon turned into purpose, and she began crafting her own tales to continue inspiring children beyond the classroom.
From Teacher to Author
With years of storytelling experience and a deep understanding of what captures a child’s imagination, writing became a natural next chapter.
June writes with a mission: to encourage children to fall in love with reading and explore the magic of words.
A Life of Experience
June has travelled extensively across Europe, Asia, and America, gathering inspiration and stories from around the world.
Today, she lives in Melbourne with her spoilt cat—who often finds a comfy spot near June as she writes.
